The Captain Shawn L. English Champion Garden by the WSU VMC

Have you made it out to see the WSU Veteran and Military Center Captain Shawn L. English Champion Garden outside Millet Hall? The garden celebrates those who support, or champion, veterans and is welcome to anyone at Wright State University. The garden also provides a gathering space to help military-connected students feel they belong.

Tricia English says, “It’s called a Champion’s Garden because he had champions that lifted him up and allowed him to live the life he wanted. [...] Then he became a champion for others.”

We honor all who served before us, with us, and continue to serve our country. This #VeteransDay, honor a veteran in your life and leave their legacy at the Captain Shawn L. English Champion Garden on Wright State's campus.

Gift a dog tag or a brick/paver for the garden to honor your veteran.
