Fifth Annual VMAS Golf Outing

On September 6th we set some new records with the most golfers, sponsors, and donors in the five years of our outing. We were happy to host 100 guests at Beavercreek Golf Club for a BEAUTIFUL day of golf.

We started the day with the mandatory coffee and donuts breakfast while our guests browsed our best selection of raffle items to date. Our most popular raffle package (by a long shot) was the Callaway Bag and Driver, followed by the Stagg Jr., Cinderella Story picture, and signed Bengals Memorabilia. We were also able to give away a lot of event tickets including University of Cincinnati football, University of Dayton football, Jordan Davis, and Wright State theater. Other raffle options included gift cards, bourbons, a photo session, tattoo deposit, and more.

Golfers got kicked off around 0900 and our team wasn't far behind to ensure guests were stocked up on free drinks and snacks throughout the day. Golfers enjoyed chips, trail mix, water, adult beverages, and more throughout the day courtesy of the VMAS team. We also worked hard this year to up the amount of pictures and videos took to remember this amazing day as we welcomed first time teams and reconnected with teams that have been with us from year one.

For the third year our event concluded with a post-play buffet provided by Wright State Alum-owned business, Tony & Pete’s. As the last teams finished we concluded our live-draw raffle prizes and passed out awards for our top teams and course challenges. The top 3 teams were able to walk away with some impressive hardware this year courtesy of a local business, Fairway Displays, who donated custom laser-engraved serving boards.
