On a beautiful fall Saturday, 56 of our biggest supporters made their way to Beavercreek Golf Club to tee it up to support the VMAS 2nd annual golf outing.
With support from the mad hackers who signed up to play, this year we also had twenty-three sponsors made of a mix of individuals and local corporations. One of our most significant and first-ever hospitality sponsors was McGillivary & Ippisch Wealth Advisors.
While teams started to finish their rounds, hot and tender chicken from Lee’s Famous recipe was enjoyed by all. Conditions were perfect for scoring as the winning team of Jon Adams, Nikki Adams, Terry Hurtig, and JB Smith turned in a twelve under par sixty. As part of the first-place prize, this team was awarded the first-ever minted VMAS challenge coins. Other top prizes were gift cards to Golf Galaxy, Bottle Breacher .50 caliber and 7.62 key chain rounds, and WSU swag bags for the longest drive and closest to the pin winners.
We had multiple individuals who donated bottles of bourbon as raffle prizes, which turned out to be our most well-received items garnering over eight hundred raffle tickets among the five bottles of bourbon prizes.

The date for next year’s outing has already been secured so mark your calendars for September 9th, 2023, for the 3rd.
